Yakima school remains closed after boiler malfunction

YAKIMA, Wash. -- St. Paul Cathedral School will remain closed until Monday as repairs continue on the school's damaged boiler. Classes have been canceled since a low-water switch on the boiler malfunctioned on Tuesday.

Administrators originally said they hoped to reopen the school Thursday, but they were forced to keep it closed two extra days after repairs took longer than expected.

The boiler is the school's main source of heat. The school is working on a temporary replacement to keep the school warm.
