Yakima school locked down after man flashes gun

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Hoover Elementary School here in Yakima went into lock down this afternoon when a man in the neighborhood flashed a gun.

Police say the man pulled the gun on a bondsman who was arresting him for an outstanding warrant. and then took off.

Officers set up a perimeter near the school and arrested the man near the 1300 block of 4th avenue.

No one was hurt.

One grandfather who was picking up a student says it's scary now more than ever.

"I pick him up everyday and, you know, because we never know these things happen anywhere, anyplace," Guillermo said.

Investigators say the suspect will likely be charged with aggravated assault.
