Yakima restaurant gives away backpacks, school supplies to local kids in need
YAKIMA, Wash. -- 250 backpacks were given away to the community at Taqueria El Rinconsito restaurant on North 1st in Yakima.
This is the restaurant's first year launching the free backpack giveaway. Each backpack had a variety of back-to-school supplies to go with it. The backpacks were tailored to kindergartners and first graders.

The restaurant is a statewide chain of fourteen locations in Western and Central Washington. Restaurant management said they want to expand the backpack giveaway next year.
