Yakima man sentenced 15 months for running over two boys at bus stop

YAKIMA, Wash. -- A 15-month jail sentence came down Thursday for a Yakima man who ran over two kids at a bus stop.

Prosecutors reached a plea deal with Benjamin McKenzie on charges of vehicular assault.

He ran over Christopher Sanchez and his brother Israel before school last year.

Christopher was dragged 80 feet by the car.

Police say McKenzie was high on methamphetamine at the time. His drug charges were dismissed.
