Yakima man in critical condition after shooting near local deli
YAKIMA, Wash. - Yakima police say a 26-year-old is in very critical condition after a shooting at a convenience store.
Police said Yakima man, Raymond Moreno-Hernandez, was in his car in front of 8th Street Market and Deli when the shooting occurred Saturday night, around 9 p.m.
Officers found him in critical condition and immediately rushed him to a local hospital.
The victim was then taken to Harborview Medical Center where he is still in critical condition, officials said.
Detectives found additional bullet holes in houses and cars along the street according to police reports.
Investigators said Moreno-Hernandez had past ties to gangs, but is not known to have any current or recent gang affiliation.
The Yakima Police Department (YPD) is searching for leads as no suspects or motives were determined. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact YPD.
