Yakima judge to meet with special prosecutor in triple murder case

YAKIMA, Wash. -- KIMA learned the trial judge in Kevin Harper's murder trial will meet with a special prosecutor Thursday.

It comes after allegations that investigators "accessed" jail phone calls between Harper and his attorney. The special prosecutor will look into that matter.

It's not clear who that prosecutor might be.

A Yakima court administrator said the biggest concern is the added cost for this person.

Earlier this week, the judge decided the case would not be thrown out.
