Yakima firefighters donate to Camp Prime Time
YAKIMA, Wash.-- Yakima firefighters are helping out a good cause.
Firefighters donated close to $800 to Camp Prime Time Wednesday.
They raised the money during a raffle for one of three pedal cars at the fair.
Camp Prime Time is a camp for children with disabilities in Yakima.
"The families that attend Camp Prime Time don't pay anything out of their pocket to go, it's extremely important that we fund raise all year long. So this will be a big help for us this year," Camp Prime Time Executive Director Cecile Anson said.
The custom pedal cars were donated by Larry Smith of Yakima.
The winner of the pedal car was Patch Lewis, a Yakima Firefighter. He later donated it to the YWCA for Christmas.
