Yakima death investigation continues, candlelight vigil planned

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Police told Action News they are still looking for David Childs' killer. He was murdered last week in downtown Yakima.

The 70-year-old was fatally beaten and punctured before being found in a Front Street planter.

You can offer your condolences for Childs at a candlelight vigil Tuesday night. It starts at 9:30 near the area where his body was found.

Childs appeared on Action News several times back in 2011. He made headlines with his collection of more than 600 pair of shoes that went on display at the Yakima Valley Museum.
