Yakima community makes holiday cards for heroes

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Some recognition for the men and women who serve our country.

The Yakima community is coming together to make holiday cards for the military. It's part of a nationwide program called Holiday Mail for Heroes.

Last year nearly two million cards were sent to the troops and their families.

You can stop by and make a card until 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Yakima Valley Red Cross (302 S. 2nd Street).
