Yakima Central Library offers free workshop to help protect senior citizens from fraud
YAKIMA, Wash.- Officials at the Yakima Central Library will be offering a free workshop to senior citizens on how to better protect themselves from fraud.
It’s a crime that costs seniors over 36 billion dollars each year according to a 2015 report by True Link.
The workshop will be on Thursday, May 18 at the Yakima Central Library beginning at 12:30 p.m.
The session will examine the many forms that senior fraud can take and how you can protect yourself from falling victim.
Classes will be conducted by staff from the Medicare Health Alliance and will range from 30 to 90 minutes with time for those attending to ask questions.
