Yakima air quality report presented to Clean Air Agency

YAKIMA, Wash. -- A new report blaming Yakima's dirty air on agricultural work and car exhaust was presented Thursday.

The study was done by the state Department of Ecology and Washington State University. It focused on winter nitrates. Researchers said a second study will tell them what kind of emissions reductions are needed to reduce nitrate.

The Yakima Regional Clean Air Agency said it has no immediate plans to change what it's doing now.
