Wineries prepare for "Red Wine and Chocolate" tasting event

ZILLAH, Wash.- If you're looking to go traditional this Valentine’s Day, the Rattlesnake Trail Wineries are bringing together two Valentine classics with their annual “Red Wine and Chocolate” tasting event.

The event will take place Saturday, February 18th through Monday, February 20th at 11 of the different wineries on the Rattlesnake Hills Wine Trail.

Each winery will be offering their own twist to the event from chocolate pieces to chocolate brownies.

And at Bonair Winery, Red Velvet Port infused cupcakes will take center stage made by Chef Adette.

"They're little mini cupcakes infused with our Touriga Port and a little dollop of dark chocolate icing on the top of it,” said Adette Highley.

Rattlesnake Hills Passport holders will have their tasting fee waived at most locations.

Passports can be purchased for just $10 at the Yakima Visitor Center.

Tickets are not required to attend the event.
