Wind advisory issued by National Weather Service

TRI-CITIES-- The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the Mid-Columbia basin today.

A low-pressure system has brought a bit of moisture over the area as it increased wind speeds Sunday night.

The wind advisory is now in place through 5 p.m. Monday.

Light rainfall is expected to taper off by midday, with sunny skies but strong gusts possible through the afternoon and early evening.

Peak gusts Monday are expected to hit 45 mph.
