YAKIMA, Wash. -- We've been getting calls about a couple of different phone scams making their way through Eastern Washington. There are calls from people who claimed to work for the U.S government and offered free grant money. Another scam involved someone pretending to work for the advertising department in the Daily Record. Both were out for your cash and personal information. A woman who got one of these calls almost believed it.
"I probably would've went right to my purse and gave them the number and fell for the scam," said Janelle Moses.
There were several scams like this out there. Remember, if an offers sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
