Washington's Department of Transportation says you should expect snow, wet and icy conditions along Highway 12. Good snow tires are advised. Snow plows will run 24 hours a day through the weekend trying to keep the roads clear. It wasn't easy for drivers today.
"Really had to take it slow like visibility is lower there was no ice, but there was definitely plenty of snow flurries and yeah you had to take it slow," said Steve Long, who drove from Tri-Cities.
**WSDOT says every WA driver is legally required to carry chains till April. However, putting them on is left to the driver's discretion.
