White Pass closing temporarily
WHITE PASS, Wash.- White Pass officials announced they will be closing their slopes due to the weather.
With the mountain getting hit with warm weather these past few days, it has turned into a wet snow-pack. White Pass employees decided to close the slopes for a few days in hopes of providing better conditions.
According to an update issued November 24, more snow is needed with 26" at the top of the slopes and 12" at the base. A reopening date is anticipated to be near due to snowy conditions, Friday.
An earlier update said White Pass planned on reopening over the weekend, but as of Friday, more snow is needed to estimate a reopening time.
