Washington State Patrol and local police will be looking for intoxicated drivers
Yakima Wash. -- Washington State Patrol and local police will be looking out for intoxicated drivers.
According to a press release, law enforcement agencies around the state will have extra DUI patrols starting today until Labor Day.
This is part of the Washington Traffic Safety Commission’s campaign, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.
The extra patrols will be targeting drivers who are under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, prescription drugs and other substances.
Along with State Patrol, Police officers from Yakima, Toppenish and Union Gap will be participating in the patrols as well.
