U.S. Marine Corp Reserve bought over 1,000 toys to kick off Toys for Tots season
YAKIMA, Wash.- It’s starting to holiday season again in Yakima and that means Toys for Tots season is here.
Sargent Nicolas Gutierrez, U. S. Marine Corps Reserve, said the Salvation Army teams up with them to help give families that may not be able to afford toys … a chance to be part of the Christmas spirit.
“We only have so much money that we get every year to buy toys. The majority of our toys come from the community donating toys,” he said.
Members of KIMA were there today as well to help pick out some toys for the kids and KIMA will also be doing a toy drive of their own with Toys for Tots this Christmas season pretty soon.
You can donate money, toys or time to help out with the drive. For information on how to help out.
