Two injured in four-vehicle I-82 accident

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Two people were injured Wednesday afternoon in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 82.

Washington State Patrol says the collision happened around 5:15 p.m. on westbound I-82 going into Selah. Troopers say traffic slowed suddenly and a car being driven by 60-year-old Lawrence Hahn of Yakima hit a pickup truck being driven by 35-year-old Thomas Russell of Selah. The collision caused Russell's truck to hit another car, which in turn hit another car.

Hahn and Russell were taken to Yakima Regional Medical Center. The other two drivers were not hurt.

WSP says the crash happened because drivers were following too closely.
