Two injured in early morning crash near Parker

YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. -- Two men were hospitalized early Friday morning after their vehicles collided near Parker.

The crash happened just before 5 a.m. Friday at the intersection of Kays Road and Lateral A Road.

Washington State Patrol says 25-year-old Jason Morales of Wapato stopped at a stop sign on Kays Road, then moved into the intersection without yielding to an approaching vehicle. That vehicle, being driven by 29-year-old Ruben Barrera Trujillo of Yakima, then hit Morales' car.

Both men were taken to Yakima Regional Medical Center.

Morales was cited for failing to yield. Troopers say neither drugs nor alcohol contributed to the crash.
