Two injured after semi-truck hits car near Zillah

YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. -- Two men were injured Wednesday morning when a semi-truck hit their car north of Zillah.

Yakima County deputies say the men were traveling on Cheyne Road around 9:40 a.m. when they failed to stop at a stop sign. As the car went into the intersection with Highland Drive, a semi-truck owned by Yakima County collided with it.

Both men were hospitalized, but deputies said they remained alert. The driver of the semi was not injured.
