Two Holbrook murder suspects sign plea deals for testimony
YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. -- Two suspects in a murder investigation signed cooperation agreements with the Yakima County Prosecutor's office.
Defense attorneys in the case say Jill Taylor and Adriana Mendez agreed to testify against two others. The four people were accused in connection with the murder of realtor Vern Holbrook. He was found badly beaten in a home he was showing and died months later.
Taylor's agreement says her charges will be dismissed in exchange for her testimony. Mendez will get one year for assault and rendering criminal assistance in exchange for her testimony.
The first trial in connection to the murder is scheduled to begin in a month.
