Yakima Humane Society has tips for pet owners during 4th of July
YAKIMA, Wash.- Tomorrow is fourth of July and that means there will be plenty of pets running for cover during the firework explosions.
The Yakima humane society says this is because of how much stronger their hearing is compared to us.
Fireworks going off down the street can seem like they are right outside for some pets.
However, Annie Flores with humane society have some tips on how to try and comfort your animals during the holiday celebration.
"Keep them inside. Give them something to do there are a lot of toys to keep them busy. Chew toys and stuff like that," she said.
Flores also wants to make sure everyone's pets have info on their collars because they get a lot of dogs turned into the shelter after fourth of July.
