Teen shot in the leg in Union Gap drive-by shooting
UNION GAP, Wash. - An 18-year-old is recovering after she was shot in the leg in a drive-by shooting.
Officers with the Union Gap Police Department (UGPD) responded around 8 p.m., Tuesday to a teen girl shot at a home in the 2200 block of S 5th Avenue.
Police said the victim was shot once in the leg. Medics took her to a local hospital where she was treated and later released.
The victim is not involved with a gang, but other people living at the home have gang ties, according to reports.
Investigators suspect the shooting was gang-related and are asking anyone with information to contact UGPD at 509-248-0430.
