Suspected child molester at Yakima Walmart arrested
YAKIMA, Wash. - A man is arrested after police say he is suspected of molesting a four-year-old at a local Walmart.
Police arrested Sal P. George, 26, after he was accused of inappropriately touching a girl at Walmart Supercenter located at 6600 West Nob Hill Blvd., the Yakima Police Department reports.
Police said a woman and her two children were shopping in the toy aisle on Tuesday, June 5, around 3:16 p.m. when her four-year-old girl went one aisle over and screamed "stop it".
The girl informed her mother a boy had touched her inappropriately. According to reports, the woman had noticed a man in the toy section and reported the incident to Walmart staff.
Staff informed authorities with the Yakima Police Department. Police were able to identify the suspect with store surveillance and arrested George.
During the investigation, police discovered George is a suspect in a similar incident at the Dollar Tree in Wapato in which another four-year-old was molested.
Police say the suspect and victim do not know each other.
