Super Bowl sales for local businesses

SELAH, Wash. -- The Super Bowl racked up huge sales for local business owners in the area. Some grocery stores KIMA spoke to had sales spike 20 percent this weekend. Save-On-Foods began advertising and promoting special deals two weeks ago. Customers placed special orders several days in advance. The manager of the store said the weather made this Super Bowl Sunday busier than previous years.

"Around here we talk about it being like another National holiday so people two, three days before the Super Bowl come in here. They really hit us hard and today we'll be really busy until kick off," said Save-On-Foods manager, Sean Broetje.

This type of business was what local businesses needed to help boost the local economy.
