Study session set to discuss Yakima pit bull ban

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima City Council will take a closer look at whether to soften or drop the pit bull ban in the city altogether.

Some pit bull advocates made their case to city leaders Tuesday.

The council agreed to re-examine the issue during a study session in November.

Supporters of changing the law say the breed is unfairly targeted. They want Yakima's dangerous dog ordinance to be tightened up instead.
