Standoff suspect appears in court, facing firearms charges
YAKIMA, Wash.--The suspect arrested in Wednesday's standoff is facing firearms charges after a court appearance on Thursday.
Thirty-two year-old Nickolas Dillard is facing charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of meth.
Dillard was arrested Wednesday afternoon after police say he barricaded himself inside an apartment complex on Nob Hill Boulevard.
The standoff caused part of the street to close for several hours.
Court papers say a pistol and bags of meth were found in a car registered to Dillard a few days prior to the standoff.
His bail wasn't set after his attorney's asked for more time to argue his proposed bail.
