Space in limited supply at Yakima police headquarters

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Things are getting crowded at police department headquarters in Yakima. The Richard A. Zais Jr. Center for Law and Justice has exceeded capacity.

Yakima has selected an architectural firm to assess how much more space is needed. And, to consult on possible renovations or new construction.

The study will cost Yakima $40,000. The contract is expected to be approved by City Council in January.
