Shaw and Sons helps raise money for underprivileged kids
YAKIMA Wash. -- Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors in Yakima are helping raise money for kids that can’t afford sports programs.
This is their first year they put together a charity car show called Driving Down Memory Lane.
All proceeds of this event are going to the Parker Youth and Sports Foundation that benefits underprivileged kids.
“But really it’s for the youth that can’t afford to play a certain sport or anything like that so we can step in. There’s some nonprofits that can apply for grants through us," said Funeral Director Dane Williams.
People around the community came out to enjoy from kids games, giveaways, food and of course the car show.
Williams says Shaws and Sons supports different charities every year in hopes of giving back to all the people they serve.
