Selah identified several properties that could be sold worth about $2 million. Palm Park and Sunrise Park are on the list. They're worth about $80,000 combined. Parents KIMA spoke with said Selah should hold onto them.
"It'd be devastating if I didn't have a good place for my child to play in my backyard," said Emily Carlson. "Then I would definitely be upset that she wouldn't have a place to go."
A public hearing was postponed because there wasn't enough public notice. City Council plans to vote on the properties to sell on March 26th.
