Selah man injured in hit and run collision

YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. - A Selah man is injured in what troopers say is a hit and run crash.

Rodney French, 59, was driving a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis at 9:30 p.m., Thursday when an unidentified vehicle struck his own, at the south-bound lanes of SR-823 near Golf Course Loop, according to troopers.

Washington State Patrol reports said the unknown vehicle fled the area before troopers responded to the scene.

Medics took French to Virginia Mason Memorial where he is being treated for injuries. His current condition is unknown.

Troopers are investigating the cause of this crash. No charges have been filed in this crash as authorities have not identified the driver in the second vehicle.
