School bus crashes into pickup truck in Yakima County
YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. - A school bus crash caused some students to get checked out by EMTs in Yakima County.
The Highland School District bus reportedly crashed Monday morning at Summitview and Pioneer Way.
The sheriff's office said the bus had just picked up some kids when the driver tried to turn around and didn't see a pick-up coming.
The pick-up was totaled and the bus damaged, according to the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office.
Reports said one of the students bumped her head in the crash while another student fell while getting off of the bus. The students were checked out my medical staff on scene.
Deputies say the bus driver has been issued ticket for failing to yield.
