Save-a-Life Blitz to bring emergency training to Yakima

YAKIMA, Wash. -- First responders and health care workers will come together in Yakima Saturday to teach local residents skills that could potentially save someone's life.

The fifth annual Great Save-a-Life Blitz will include training in CPR, the use of a defibrillator, recognizing the signs of a stroke and what to do when someone is choking.

A refresher booth will also be available for those who have had this training before but who want a chance to practice.

The event will take place at the Yakima Convention Center. One-hour sessions will be held in English at 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. and in Spanish at 11 a.m.
