One man dead, another injured in Wapato shooting
WAPATO, Wash. - One man is dead and another man has been injured Friday afternoon in a Wapato shooting.
The Yakima County Sheriff's Office reported one man was shot multiple times and killed at Les Schwab, at the 400 block of W 1st. Street in Wapato, where a second man was shot in the leg.
Medics are taking the injured man to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Deputies have not released the victims' names.
Officers said multiple people were involved in the shooting and ran away from the area. At this time, the sheriff's office could not confirm how many people were involved.
Detectives are not certain whether or not this incident is gang-related.
The Yakima County Sheriff's Office is taking over the investigation. Law enforcement continues to search for the shooter.

Multiple witnesses in the area told Action News two men were hit by gunfire in a drive-by shooting. Police have since said the incident was not a drive-by shooting.
Witnesses said one victim was shot in the torso and the other was shot in the leg.

Medics are at the scene to treat the victims.
