Union Gap, WASH. -- Call it a sign of the times, but with the possibility of stricter gun control laws, a record number of people signed up with the NRA. On Saturday and Sunday, the NRA put on a gun boot camp event that taught people how to safely use a gun. 130 people participated. Given the current climate, people in the area said they're eager to learn how to use guns.
This being our first NRA weekend, we didn't have any expectations at all," said Cabela's Marketing Manager, Haley Weston. "We just wanted to offer something to our customers other than just a shopping experience."
People who joined the NRA this weekend also received a $25 Cabela's gift card.
