Record flu numbers in Kittitas County

KITTITAS COUNTY, Wash.-- When it gets this cold outside, your chances of getting sick go way up. Tonight, new numbers show it's especially bad in Kittitas County.

In the past month, Kittitas Valley Community Hospital has seen 120 cases of flu. That is a record number. Doctors say many people aren't taking the measures they need to in order to stay healthy."There's a lot of facilities where you can go and take your vaccine for these mysterious flus that are just popping up."

The flu is known to peak in February or March, so Kittitas Hospital employees are hoping this is an early peak and that it doesn't get any worse.
