Prosecutors seek emergency stay in Harper case

YAKIMA COUNTY, Wash. -- Yakima County prosecutors want more time to appeal the latest ruling in the Kevin Harper case. However, a Superior Court judge denied that request Friday.

Earlier this month, prosecutors lost their bid to re-file murder charges against Harper. They believe he killed three people in West Valley.

Friday's decision reinforced the plea bargain. But, prosecutors are still trying to have that thrown out.

They are now trying to get an emergency stay from the Court of Appeals.
