New guidelines were made for event holders earlier this year. That includes vendors listing potential safety issues and parking plans. The goal was for the city to keep a closer watch on the events. Event organizers said additional fees may draw people away.
"It's another fee after another fee after another fee," said Yakima Farmers' Market Manager Don Eastridge. "It's getting where it's so expensive to do events that people are going to quit doing events."
City Council will vote on the proposal this week.
