      Police: Stabbing suspect overdosed on drugs

      YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima police made an arrest in connection with a stabbing Tuesday afternoon.


      The 28-year-old male victim is in critical condition. Officers found the victim in an apartment near Second Street and Lincoln Avenue. They say he was wounded for several hours, laying in a pool of blood.


      Police tell KIMA the 42-year-old male suspect lives in the apartment where the stabbing happened.


      Police say he intentionally overdosed on drugs after he stabbed the victim.


      Investigators obtained a search warrant for the apartment. Police say the stabbing was not gang-related.
