Police search for suspect in The Dalles homicide

      THE DALLES, Ore. - Police are looking for a suspect who they said killed a man in The Dalles Friday.

      According to Wasco County District Attorney Eric Nisley, police responded to a report of a man down in a parking lot just before 10 p.m.

      The man, identified as 46-year-old Scott Erlenbush of Dallesport, Wash., was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

      Erlenbush worked as a custodian at the Mid-Columbia Medical Center.

      An autopsy confirmed homicide was the cause of death.

      Investigators ask anyone who had contact with Erlenbush on Friday, Aug. 24 after 7 p.m., gave him a ride or saw someone give him a ride contact Detective Jamie Carrico at 541-296-2613.
