Over 500 participate in Color Naches Fun Run

NACHES, Wash. -- More than 500 participants showed up for the Color Naches Fun Run on Sunday. The twist of this whole thing was colored corn starch was thrown at runners at each checkpoint.

The event raised $2,500 for not only the Yakima Greenway, but also Naches Girls Volleyball. Families and friends of all ages were able to sign up. The run was just over three miles long. A hundred volunteers were able to make this event possible.

"Well the money's going to a good cause so that's always fun and it's fun to get everyone together to do something fun like this and it's healthy and active," said Kirsten Clerveringa.

Volunteers said they want to do another one of these runs at the greenway in the fall.
