Organization offering cash rewards for info leading to arrest of Yakima arsonist
YAKIMA, Wash. - A Renton-based organization is now offering cash rewards for information on recent fires likely caused by an arsonist in Yakima.
Non-profit organization Arson Alarm Foundation joins Yakima County Crime Stoppers to offer rewards for information that could lead to the arrest of the person or people responsible for these suspicious fires, city officials announced Tuesday.
Officials previously asked community members to offer any information they may have about the 26 fires that occurred since July 1 of this year.
These incidents include two separate fires at the Fruit Packers Supply which caused $20 million or more in damage.
Multiple agencies are investigating these fires. Anyone with information regarding these fires can contact Yakima police at 575-6200.
