NWS: Snow accumulations expected overnight at Snoqualmie Pass
SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. - Those planning to travel at Snoqualmie Pass are asked to drive carefully while a Winter Weather Advisory is in place.
The National Weather Service (NWS) of Pendleton issued the advisory for areas above 1,500 feet in the Washington Cascades from 7 p.m. Tuesday until 10 a.m., Wednesday.
Areas of concern include Mount Baker Ski Area, Newhalem, Stevens Pass, Snoqualmie Pass, Ashford, Paradise, Longmire and Crystal Mountain Ski Area.
Snow is expected to accumulate five to 10 inches in these areas, according to NWS reports. Drivers are asked to prepare for snow-covered roads and less visibility during the advisory.
At this time, there are no travel restrictions on I-90 at the Snoqualmie Pass summit. The Washington State Department of Transportation will continue to monitor road conditions as weather changes.
