New Sunnyside Hospital closer to getting $1M for future infrastructure
YAKIMA, Wash.--The new Sunnyside Hospital is closer to getting a million dollars to help with its future infrastructure.
Yakima County's Supporting Investments in Economic Development (SIED) board approved a $500,000 loan and $500,000 grant to create water and sewer lines for the future site of the new hospital.
The money will be used to ensure those utilities get developed for the new 54-acre hospital, which has yet to break ground.
A recommendation on the funding will be sent to county commissioners who are expected to make a final decision in about a month.
