New sidewalk to create safer route in Selah

SELAH, Wash. -- A new sidewalk will create a safe route for kids in Selah. Right now, kids are forced to walk in the road between Selah's middle and high schools.

A sidewalk will be added on Wernex Loop. The project is expected to cost more than $200,000. Most will be paid for with a federal grant.

Construction won't start until next summer.
