Mt. Rainier National Park seeks volunteers, grants free entry Sept. 24
WASHINGTON -- Mount Rainier National Park will celebrate National Public Lands Day on Saturday, Sept. 24 with free entry all day, as well as two volunteer projects open to the public.
The park needs volunteers to maintain and patrol trails, plant native plants, and help visitors around.
Registration will be at 8 a.m. at the White River Campground near State Route 410.
In 2015, more than 1,700 people volunteered, which earns you a coupon for free admission for any day in the future.
