Motorcyclist injured at I-82 near Wapato
WAPATO, Wash. - A 33-year-old man is now being treated at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after troopers said he lost control of his motorcycle on I-82.
The Edgewood man was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle at I-82 east, one mile north of Wapato where he lost control in the left lane, around 10:25 a.m., Thursday.
Troopers with Washington State Patrol said the victim was ejected from his motorcycle landed in the median.
Another motorcyclist was driving and hit the victim's motorcycle that had landed in the left lane. The second motorcyclist was not injured, reports stated.
The injured man was taken to Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital in Yakima then later transported to Harborview Medical Center for injuries.
Troopers say charges in this collision are driving with wheels off the road and driving with a suspended license.
*Someone close to the victim reached out to Action News and reported the victim was riding with his church group of 15 riders and he lost control due to something in the road.
