More work done for Salmon Preservation Project

YAKIMA, Wash. -- Some of the work has been done for the Salmon Preservation Project. The project is expected to be finished this fall.

A couple of hundred plants were added along barriers near the Yakima Wastewater Facility. More paving was put in on the Greenway trail. Trails should be done this week. People are happy to see the project coming along.

"They put in a lot of time and energy and I hope it works," said Thomas Stratton. "It's a good trail. I love this trail."

Putting shoulders on the trails is the next step. Volunteers are needed to help planting. You can call the Yakima Wastewater Facility at 509-249-6813 to sign up.
