Mobile home destroyed in fire, no one injured

YAKIMA, Wash. - A mobile home is unlivable after a fire started with three people and a dog inside.

The Yakima Fire Department (YFD) went to the fire at 7610 W Nob Hill Blvd. Wednesday, around 3:05 p.m. to find smoke coming from the front door and window of the home.

All three people escaped safely and reports said someone was possibly still inside when fire crews arrived, but later discovered a dog instead. Firefighters were able to get the dog out safely.

15 firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and monitored the home to ensure the fire was out and wait for a board up company to secure the building. Crews were at the scene for a total of one and a half hours.

YFD officials said the fire caused $9000 of damage and said the home was unlivable due to smoke damage.

No one was injured in this fire. Reports said one occupant cut their hand in the incident but cuts were not severe.

Fire detectives are investigating the cause of this fire.
